I was hoping it would at least match his amp and it certainly did and then some!The sound of the bass from this amp is very different to alot of amps I've heard. It really runs well even with the bass boost basically off as it doesn't seem to need it. It reproduces lower frequencies very well while keeping the sub nicely in control for the more musical higher bass like a bass guitar. It makes a friend of mine's JBL P1224 sound like a higher class of subwoofer than it is, especially when comparing it to his pioneer 600w rms (1 ohm stable) amp on it :) Couldn't be happier. If you want audiophile quality bass with true 1200w rms volume (really feels like it delivers it) then this amp has got to be a great choice.
