They easily outperform any other sub in the price range, especially when combined with the right amplifier. I currently own two of the CompVR 12"s, and have them powered by a 1500 watt db Drive monoblock amp. Since they are rated 400 watts rms/800 peak, I chose this amp because although it can put out up to 1,500 watts, it's not going to be pushing that much power out that often. In other words, the subs sound their best with the least chance of destroying the coils and do not distort at high volumes. I've had nothing but compliments on my system, and I'm almost certain that if I did some tweaking, I would do well in a competition. Thank you, Kicker, for making such a wonderfully durable and powerful sub, for a price no one can compete with. Total would have been approx $3500. Running 4 kicker 11ks693,s pr of tweeters, pr of 4x6 (dash) lanzars(only because of wattage240) new kicker compVR 10vr124-12". Sealed sweet 1" custom box. 1- 4 channel 600 watt amp. 1 600 watt mono amp(2ohm) stable. And CLARION CZ501 Head unit. IN a full size pick up. Well there was apparently a local radio comp goin on with the young crowd. So I decided to pull in and check it out. And eventually they wanted to hear mine. MAN THEY WERE BLOW AWAY, they voted mine the best. Could not believe how they could hear every note crystall clear and no bass muffle or flubber what so ever.
