I wouldn't have bought them personally, but they're great if your on a budget and you need to replace some stocks. I installed these in my '03 Tacoma using the factory baffles/mounts with little difficulty. With only my head unit powering these speakers, I am impressed with their response and tone in regards to mid-bass and even sub 50hz notes. But if you expect these to compete with an 8" sub or even 6" woofers, then these are not the speakers for you (no 5x7/6x8/6x9 will substitute the effeciency and range of true woofer). With that said, I was looking for an upgrade from the factory paper cones on a budget and this fulfilled my expectations. Tweets sound good as well, not harsh in the slightest. I am sure with a little more juice from an amp, these would (like most speakers) sound even "better". However, if you are in the market for a great speaker on a limited budget, these do the trick. |
