I also got the PEQ Equalization remote. I listen to a wide variety of music from classical, to jazz, to rock, covering several decades of changes in recording technology and engineering. The PEQ remote is essential in allowing finger tip adjustments to compensate for decades of differing recording technologies and EQ mixes. This amp does all it claims and does so flawlessly. The boosted rail technology is a very clever engineering feat and gives this amp, which is no larger than a paperback novel, power you would expect from a much larger unit. It can handle both high level and RCA level inputs and it features all of the adjustments you would typically want (gain, band pass) to optimize the bass portion of your audio. I highly highly recommend it! BTW... I have it paired with a single 8" Polk db840 dual voice coil sub. I'm not a teenager so I'm not out to blow the doors off cars three rows back at stop signs. I have a Jeep Wrangler that just needs a little push to the sound while the top is off. The other day driving to work it just quit. Checked the fuse, check the wiring, checked the head end unit and everything else worked. Now checking the warranty info it said they will not take back for warranty or repair any amp not sold by a authorized Fosgate dealer. I have yet to find if Amazon is an Authorized Dealer. Disappointed it stopped working and it was not even turned up loud. |
