I have this filtered at about 75 Hz because I have it under the front driver's seat in my 4Runner. Having it drive higher than that with the music I listen to tends to just vibrate the backside too much. It'll drive to 150 Hz pretty easily, but I personally wouldn't recommend it. I just think you'd try to drive to much through a single driver.I fits, by the way, but just barely. It's small, but not that small. Double check if you're installing under a seat. Anywhere else, this is a gem. The sub fits nicely underneath the drivers rear seat and out of view. Just keep in mind that this is a powered 10" sub so don't expect the 900 watt RMS rating. This sub will definately fill your cabin space with your bottom end lows you are looking for without advertising to the thugs on your street corner. I'm using a Kenwood head unit and factory door speakers for now and I am satisfied. Of course, this sub has only been installed for a month now so I have no idea of long term performance. I listen to country, rock, and some rap so the adjustable bass control was a huge bonus. After about an hour of running wires from the battery thru the firewall, under the running boards to the rear & connecting leads to head unit the sub was in & ready to be powered up. As per the manual, I set the sub flat & with zero gain, once on I set it as directed. After about another 15 mins of tweaking with the head unit sub settings & the sub's gain/sub power/phase shift & bass boost this single 10" sub was throwing out some solid bass! It rattles my seat, my mirrors, my chest, and I only have it at 1/3rd power!Definitely use 8 or 10 gauge sub wire kits, I used 10 gauge, made the ground as short as possible as recommended in the manual. It fills the lows and then some. You must mess with all of the adjustments before you see results and now I have a sweet, hard hitting set up in a Chevy Avalanche.
